Pics from our weekend visit to New Orleans in February. This was a mixed media experiment for me. Not usually my style, and yes, it was fun, but messy. :) I wanted the background to be the colors of Mardi Gras (purple, green, and gold), even though it was before Mardi Gras. I didn't create the background colors but did add texture paste and gold.

I was inspired by a sketch from sketches in thyme.
