I made this layout using some of my Bo Bunny "Isabella" papers.

The photo is of my old cat Smokey when she was a kitten. From the beginning she was a scraggly little cat, she even had bent whiskers! She was adorable though, even when she got older and went a bit crazy! It got to the point where she would only allow myself or my brother touch her, everyone else got hissed at. She always hid and would rarely come out. When she was 12 years old, in April 2012, I found a baseball-size cyst sitting against her neck, right above her front leg. I had the vet drain it and they tested the fluid with inconclusive results. One week later the cyst had grown back to the same size, but this time it was majorly affecting her comfort and her breathing. The vet suggested surgery, with no guarantee is would work, but Smokey was getting so old and I did not want her to suffer anymore, so I made the difficult decision that same day to euthanize her. I was so shocked, because Smokey suddenly became very calm that day, and she let the vet do what they needed to do, and when I was holding her in my arms before and during the procedure, she cuddled right against me, something she hadn't done in years. I kept her calm, and after the procedure I held her in my arms and rocked her for an hour. I cried alot (just like I am while I am writing this), but I felt at peace. The way Smokey calmed down that day, even before I took her to the vet, it was like she was telling me it was her time to go and that it was ok, that she was ready. To this day I miss her and her craziness so much, she was my little girl for the entire 12 years of her life, but I am at so much peace knowing that it was the best thing to do, and she is not suffering anymore.
