This is the first time I took on a project of this scale. It is not perfect, but overall, I think it came out quite well.
I started with a hinged paper-maiche (spelling?) box.
Painted it lavender (took three coats to cover well).
Crackle painted it and then lightly wiped with stain to give an antique look.
Glued three different lace/ribbon trims to the edge.
Watered down lavender paint and spritzed the Prima flowers. Then sprayed with Glimmer Mist to make them shimmer!
Glued leaves and flowers to the top.
Added pink pearl swirls and Prima flower centers.
Used ModgePodge to adhere beautiful floral paper to the inside.
Whew! This took two weeks to accomplish, with all the drying and painting and gluing. Now, putting it in the mail for EASTER!
