Each year, on what always felt like the most bone-chilling cold and intensely windy day of the fall, my family would hop in the car and take a short drive to a wonderfully charming fruit stand that was located about an hour away from our house. There, nestled amongst a vast display of pumpkins and seasonal gourds, my mom would snap the annual Bear's Fruit Stand photo as my siblings and I braced ourselves against the cold and tried to give “big smiles” despite our chattering teeth.
Excluding things pertaining to holidays, I wouldn't say that there's a lot of yearly traditions that my family had, which makes me extra grateful for this one – and the fact that photos from a couple of those blustery (but always really fun) days are now part of my family photo collection.
Should you ever find yourself in Keremeos, B.C. come harvest time, I sincerely recommend a quick stop a Bear's Fruit Stand. The displays that they put up are absolutely wonderful – and certainly make for a great photo op! 
