Give a Cheer
This LO is the first for which I used hidden journaling, nestled behind the cute house are my thoughts about what a special thing it is have just one childhood home (and hometown) to call your own (conveyed as though I was writing a letter to my aunt, who is pictured here with her two sons, as she and her family have lived in the same house for 20 years and thus their three kids have grown up with the same hometown).
I really, really enjoyed putting this page together (can you tell in the photo that the door, complete with clear rhinestone doorknob, is partially cut out so as to reveal to anyone looking at it that there's journaling hidden behind it?) and celebrating the wonderful fact that, while I can't say the same thing myself (I moved numerous times when I was growing up) – three of my cousins will always have the beautiful gift of looking back and knowing they had one stable, awesome house to grow up in.
