what a cool idea using the pants for the leaves...just had to add a little more paint, I guess,eh?!I like the scalloped edge and the raffia-such a creative card!

That is just so creative to cut an old pair of painters pants, using the fabric. It's an adorable card and I hope you brother loved his card. The raffia & buttons are a great finishing touch. Looks beautiful!

October Birthday Card

This card I made for my brother back in October. I made the leaves from a pair of old painter's pants. The material looked like canvas, so I had to give it a try. I have these very old stencil templates, so I traced the leaves onto the fabric. On the maple leaf I mixed a bunch of different colors of acrylic paints and applied the paint generously. I did the same to the oak leaf, but used more green. I spritzed the entire card with Olive Glimmer Mist after gluing down all the pieces. The bow is make with green raffia. Buttons are from my stash. TFL!!
