This is the second page to my husband's heritage album and my entry for the March Heritage challenge. This is his paternal greatgrandma, Gjertrude. From the information I have, she was born on 10/18/1860 also in Vik, Sogn, Og Fjordane, Norway. Her parents were Ola and Kristensa, in the Hauglum-Kjelven LO I submitted a couple of weeks ago. She was their four child. She married my husband's greatgrandfather in about 1886. I do not have any information yet as to when they immigrated to the US, but they both passed away in New Auburn, WI. Gjertrude passed away on 4/18/1942. I'm not sure if Gjertrude immigrated with her mother at the same time or if she came later on with her husband. I have so limited information right now with John's heritage, but I am hoping that will change.

I have to give a shout out to Lauri D for the inspiration to design this LO as I did. I love how she did her LO entitled “1940's U.S. Dept of State” that I wanted to try my own version in heritage style. Lauri also gave me the awesome lamp post. Thanks Sweetie!!

I used a lot of techniques on this LO. I'm particularly fond of the upper cluster at the “collar”. I cannot remember where or when I got the lace, but its very large and extremely pretty. I cut out this specific pattern and used stickles to accent the flowers. The fabric rosette is my own creation. The gem is a “toy” given to me by my awesome MIL. I was also very excited that I got use my NEW CRICUT CARTRIDGE, Heritage. I'm drooling over all the images and am excited to try them all. The butterfly is from LisaGregory's blog spot.

Thanks so much for looking! Enjoy your day!!
