Hello my fellow artists! Hope this day has been a very pleasant day for all. Well, it was waaayyy overdue to continue work on my dh's heritage album, so here's Page 8, Carl and Martha's wedding day. I love this photo of the two of them. Carl's brother Selmer is standing behind him and Martha's sister, Jennie, is standing behind her. Selmer and Jennie were the attendants. To me the photo is the epitome of the early 1900s; the clothing, the stoic expressions - just the simplicity of the era. What really catches my eye is the floral arrangements for Martha and Jennie....they are attached to their garments. I've viewed many a vintage photo over the years and have never seen a wedding photo showing floral arrangements displayed this way. It would be wonderful to have seen this irl. I think this photo is stunning. Not sure if I've done it justice or not with the way I have scrapped the page around it, but for the most part I am pleased with the outcome.
