Beautiful heritage page Cindy! Such a great pic to have and I looove the colors,,they are so pretty! I have a hard time being happy with my pages also, so I know what you mean...
What a great old photo to scrap Cindy!!!! And you scrapped it perfectly! I can see that the strip of pp on the left is a port wine color! What a BEAUTIFUL heritage lo!!!!
Great to see another LO from you! This came out so cute Cindy. How cool you got your hands on a real milk cap too! I love all the little deatails you've done on this and that windmill with the patch of grass is such great touch too!
Such a beautiful color combo, it's so very pretty all around!! Even though you say the photo quality is poor, the photo still "reads" very well, and I agree with Lynne about their overall feel. Your banner is very perky and is a great touch, and I love your handwritten jounaling/info!
this looks even better here than it did on FB-love it and love seeing you posting again, Cindy! Beautiful distressing and stenciling, love the colours and the photo is wonderful (when it comes to heritage photos, the overall feel of them comes across even if the photo's not perfect!)
Just beautiful!!! LOVE your colour palette and though the picture has a bit of a blurr; one can still see plainly what the content is! What a great find!!! Lovely pps, beautiful flowers; love your masking, distressing and the awesome banner!
Boy, has it been forever since I last posted a LO, a Heritage LO at that. I've been thinking about this LO for quite some time. It is of my grandmother with her younger brother and their horse, King. The photo is of very poor quality so I took a close-up of the photo. I'm not one to be satisfied much with my LOs (I seem to be my worst critic), but I am rather fond of how this one turned out, although it truly looks much better IRL. I did a bunch of fussy cutting (corner birds and around edges of top sheet). My grandmother and her family were farmers in rural Western Wisconsin. In fact, she married a farmer (Grandpa Ed) who was actually a neighbor. I found this photo stuck in a 3-ring binder of the Horsager Genealogy. My aunt has the original. Even tho the strip of color paper to the left of the photo looks black, it is actually a port wine color and is velvety to the touch. The milk cap in the lower left is a true milk cap used on bottles way back when. I was very lucky to nab a handful of these caps at a junk dealer. :) Thank you for taking a bit of precious time to look at my recent upload. Have a terrific day!
