Fabric is a lot harder to work with than paper. I love this layout for the message behind it and the beautiful, whimsical abstract look of it. It’s an expressionism type of art where some elements might be nonfigurative but so innovative and inspiring. I love it and I think you did a great job.
My job has us making quilt squares for world breastfeeding week taking place the first week in august...here is my attempt at a mommy holding her baby in a sling/wrap...mainly because I had no clue how to make hands and arms holding the baby! The different colors aren't really showing up in this photo...looks much better in real life. The hair is made from brown ribbon...
This project was a struggle for me because I don't sew and had no clue what to do knowing that I had to use all fabric...paper is so much easier! BTW...I just want to thank everyone for the gallery love that you all show. I've been slackin off since summer has hit and haven't had the time I used to to browse the galleries ALL DAY LONG (not really)...but I appreciate your comments and will definitely return the love! So as always...Thank you so much for looking!
