Yes! I was thinking 'interesting' also. But I also think its pretty Char. Maybe with a bit more blending at the edge of the colors... :o)Ro

I have only done a couple & it is quite an experience! I think it takes a lot of practice, but this is very interesting. I do like the bottom corner with the rustic look & pieces to match. One done with darks like that would be way cool! Good for you for playing & spreading your wings!:)

Crazy canvas

This was my first attempt at a mixed media canvas - all original- out of my head. (Boy, it can be scary in there!). It didn't quite come out the way I had imagined. I pictured thin strips, in turquoise and purple, melting into rusty stuff. (My current obsession). to me, it doesn't quite "melt". Also not crazy about the shades of the colors. Then added some embellies at the top, then tried to "mirror" them with rusted objects. There is a lot of texture on the canvas itself with paste and gesso. Oh well, it is what it is!
