Holy smokes! This is totally exquisite. amazing and your little snips of cheesecloth make this wispy and flowing. I love what you did here with the church scene -spectacular wedding photo - not really sure how I missed this one.
Truly a breathtaking piece of art Natalie! So much love is seen - as your parents start a new life and your love for them in this creation! Your work is always awe-inspiring!
great doors is that wood or just a photo because it so realistic great art I'm so amazed with you gallery argghh cant stop viewing this layout love the fuzzy cutting great job!!
Sensational and outstanding lo! Love the treasure trove of fabulous textures; your fussy cutting is impeccable, superb pp tearing and your photo is priceless! The blending of the arches with the one on the BB pp is wonderful! Another delightfully elegant creation!
likewise, I am speechless too, such a stunning creation, delicate, and elegantly mezmorizing, unforgettable and so impressive, what more can I say, Fave for sure......xo
OMGOSH I am speechless! I have been staring at this incredible masterpiece for ages and am blown away by it's beauty!! Your fussy cutting and ability to put together 'bits and pieces' is pure artistry. The photo is gorgeous and the doors look like they have just burst open on the page to reveal the happy couple. I love how you have used a piece of your Mums jewellery...a very special touch!! Everything is so well thought out and composed! I absolutely love love love this and I know I will be back many times to admire it over and over!!
I am speechless!! I feel like I've taken a step back in time and am standing right outside the church witnessing their kiss!!! The way you cut the photo and surrounded it with the BEAUTIFUL embellies is PERFECT!!! This is so romantic - what a TREASURE!!!
WOW - this is one of the most beautiful LO's I've ever seen - I feel as if I'm in a dream standing below the steps watching them kiss, hearing the music, waiting for them to exit the church - love all your layering, the beautiful swirls you created with the twine and the cheesecloth, the hints of sheet music, the dried flowers and the repeated arches at the top of the door - and then . . . that gorgeous pic with your mother's beautiful satin dress - I'm guessing that you inherited your mother's sense of artistry and flair - need I even say that this is a FAVE?
I am happy you showed us a layout again. Always so nice , the pictures and the storys behind it. You are lucky you have so many photos from the past. I like how you play with the cheesecloth, it looks or the wind plays with it. I saw it before in your layouts. it gives a fresh look at it.
stunning ,love the way the gauze seems to be flowing in the wind, gorgeous photo, distressing, ppr.! I read the comments after i wrote mine, i see the word "stunning" a whole lot of times! I am so lifting the "breeziness" idea ( hope you dont mind)
Just so glorious! I love all that layering behind and around the photo! The cheesecloth, twine, distressing and modeling paste add that texture that you know I love! Incredible and so a HUGE FAV!
Awesome - 61 years is quite an accomplishment. Wonderful title. The tearing, lace, cheesecloth, twine & flowers add beautiful texture to this heartwarming page.
As my parents were married in the month of October I thought to scrap some of their wedding photos. This is the second layout.
"October 25, 1947, after exchanging vows, Mom and Dad paused at the top of the church stairs to seal their union with a kiss! This is their "Prelude", the beginning of their new life together....it lasted 61 years.
I used torn paper layering, distressing, molding paste and gels, inks, fussy cut wallpaper and other paper, bits of old laces, cheesecloth, dried flowers from my garden, jute twine, and a small piece of jewelry that had lost it's setting, which I found in Mom's jewelry box, on this composition.
