We were in Palermo, Sicily on a Sunday and it was a little bit boring.... I went by bus to nearby Mondello and what a gem it was! Vibrant, lively, beautiful with a lot of photo-opportunity....
The only downfall was, while waiting for the bus, that me and 2 other people from Poland, was standing at the 'weekday' busstop and waiting for 2 hours!!! We saw all the busses coming from Palermo, but none reaches this part of the town!!! The police standing around, and we asked where to we have to wait... lol! they say we were standing on the right place, just to find out that after 2 hours waiting, that the busses were not coming on Sundays to this particular busstop (not even the police knew....) it was to laugh about.... But we finally found the 'Sunday' busstop!!!! I came into Palermo long after dark and was a looooonnnnnggggg way to walk to find my B&B where we stayed!!!! but the scenes with lights all over made it worth while!
