My oldest ds back in 2009. This was during an awards ceremony at the Boy's and Girl's Club. He was 9 y.o. here, and had written and illustrated a book and submitted it for a contest that they were having. He won first place, and they took his book and had it professional bound for him. He was so proud, and I was so proud of him!! He loves to read, has always read far above his grade level, and has an amazing imagination. He's also an incredible artist, and was placed in an advanced art class in the 6th grade. After this awards ceremony I asked him, "So, you think you want to be an author when you grow up?" He said, "Maybe." LOL he has a large list of possibilities of what he wants to "be", and I know he can be any and/or all of them!!

As a side note, I wish I hadn't done the title in white. I tied thread around the letters as well as doodled with black on it to make it stand out, but once I adhered it to the page I think it's hard to read, and wish I had done it differently. Oh well, maybe it'll grow on me....if not, it's an easy enough change!

This was for the March Round Robin Challenge. I lifted "One Fine Day" by Madmatter, which can be seen here: http://www.scrapbook.com/galleries/344143/view/3557629/-1.html I love her LO, and drew inspiration from her stitching for this page.
