I love to read about how you find innovative ways to use and reuse so many different items. You definitely see the beauty in all things. The first thing I noticed (well the second, after your gorgeous flower) was your paper layering technique. I love that look!
LOL about the waxed paper die cut. I have sat and looked at them and wished I could think of a way to use them. Thanks for the inspiration! I love your distressed edges. When I try that it looks like I need a new trimmer blade! This is a beautiful card and that flower needs to take center stage! It is so beautiful and perfect.
Oh for the love....I knew it would happen!!!! I like how it turned out! I just throw mine away, so you go for it girl! What a gorgeous card & your flowers compliment them so beautifully! Love the papers & layers & matching them up, good job! Love the center jewel too!:)
I could hardly wait to post this card for Marylou's sake! When I mentioned that I discovered a great technique of using bakery waxed tissue sheets between my die and paper making it easier to remove them from the die, Marylou said she was anxious to see how I used the waxed paper dies (haha). So, here you have it. I had set them aside thinking I would toss them and then decided to use this one on a card! LOL This also is the first time I've cut papers of a print to match up to a lower layer. I've seen lots of cards like that and several with three layers. I stuck with two on this one. I used K & Company's Visions of Christmas stack that I've had for several years. It also features one of my handmade flowers using ribbon trim from Hobby Lobby. I think the pretty center came from there as well. The mess ribbon at the bottom came from Pickled Papers. The little bow is from a recycled card.
