Can you believe I got another layout made already??!! I have been wanting to make one using this picture of Sam and I for a year or two and finally got around to it! A little history about the picture...every year about 2 weeks before graduation, the senior class in honor of their mothers give them a tea party. It's a sweet tradition...hence the chippie title. Imagine my surprise when Sam wore his red shirt to match my sweater! They have a local photographer there for those that want to pay for a picture taken with your graduating senior. I was a bit disappointed when I saw she had a white background and as Sam and I took our respective places, he lovingly put his hand on my shoulder. The gal apparently didn't like that pose and had him remove it. (Another annoying detail.) Anyway, the white background whited us out so I cut it out for this layout after printing it out. The quality isn't the greatest but oh well.

Last Friday I ran across these papers on sale at our local Craft Warehouse and knew they would be perfect for this picture/layout. The beautiful scrollwork piece from Dusty Attic I cut in half to make into "hinges". Inked them up with TH Black Soot and heat embossed with black embossing powder. The "Traditions" is from Creative Embellishments. Also heat embossed it. The background stamping under Sam and I was heat embossed also with a new stamp I won right here on sb.com for the $10.00 share and win. I got two stamps with that coupon! Pretty cool! As you can see I used some more ham packaging material (black netting) for a little added texture. The lovely black flocked die cuts are Eno Greeting Special Laser die cuts. I wish I had more of those. They are wonderful! The intricate sign is a Sizzix die I also won here for another challenge! First time I've used it. The paper looks sort of grey in this picture but it's more of a pearlized black. The script stamp is TH Urban Grunge. Love that stamp.

The clocks and corner pieces are buttons from Joann's. Metal key from Amazon. Heart locket from Hobby Lobby.

Thank you so much for stopping by my gallery. Next up...Mother's Tea 2013 (with Dan)!
