Oh my, this is absolutely stunning! I love everything about this starting with that adorable picture. Love how you recycled all the denim into a LO that is totally amazing.
Hello there! Let me introduce you to my great-nephews Josh and Jake! Josh (the youngest) I have never met and Jake was a baby the last time I saw him! They live in CA. My niece posted this picture on Facebook and I fell it love with it and decided right away to do a layout for her.
This layout was so much fun to make and the most fun was putting the denim to use from my eldest son, Sam's, old pair of Dickies! Whenever he has a pair of worn out jeans to throw away he asks me if I want to use anything from them. This time I saved the pockets, zipper, button and cut several pieces of the fabric out to use. They were double-kneed so I got three different shades using the top, underlayer, and the wrong side of the fabric! I die cut the heart, flowers and butterflies and hand cut the flags for the banner. On the banner I used my Bo Bunny stitches stamp. As you can see, I used the pocket under the picture as well as the zipper from his jeans. I added a little metal charm under the zipper pull and used my stitches stamp around it also. You may be wondering about what I "hung" the banner with....my DS son brought this stuff home from work that he had drilled out of a thick piece of something called Delron. I cut it to size and put it in a Ziploc baggie with Tim Holtz Stonewashed alcohol ink to match a little better!
The little wood birds are painted with Liquid Pearls. On the wood fence I just rubbed some TH Walnut Stain to tone down the white.
Around the flowers and butterflies are liquid pearls so they would show up detail a bit better. The light and dark blue prills are from Marylou (Meggie's Nana). Thank you so much my friend.
