This was one of the featured LO just now and, oh my, how did I miss it the first time around? It's just beautiful; the photos are gorgeous. I can't even tell what I love most, it's all so amazing! I think maybe it's the way you did the upper left corner with the branch, flowers and nest, or maybe the frames around the beautiful photos, or those adorable birdhouses, or ... Oh, I just love it all! Well done, Elizabeth, well done!!!!!!!
Your photos and layout are beautiful! The western tanager is such a gorgeous bird - I was blessed to be able to see them a couple times on trips out west.
This is so pretty! I just met a new lady who has become a dear friend to me and just love "bird" embellishments! Very creative little nest at the top! It is so cute!
So glad you made a layout with those beautiful photos. Love the bird houses!! The bird nest was a perfect choice. Love the scrapiniec frames (such delicate cb but so beautiful) and all the different techniques. Your colors blend beautifully! Very birdy-ful!! :)
What a pretty layout. The colors are stunning. Thank you for explaining everything you did on the page. Creative, clever ideas that made for a wonderful picture.
WOWZER, this is amazing! I love how you incorporated your photo's into a lo. Wonderful paper & love the bird houses. I haven't made dryer sheet flowers in a long time, yours look so pretty. Every inch a beauty my friend!:)
I became inspired to make my first bird layout after capturing these pictures of a Western Tanager! I remembered I had this pretty paper that I got at our local Craft Warehouse on clearance before it closed its doors last month and I knew it would be perfect for my layout! It came together very quickly and I had a lot of fun making it. I didn't really do any background work, just some technique work on the wood chippies and I m ade all the flowers here over a year ago! The yellow and pale red flowers are made from used Bounce sheets and inked in with TH Worn Lipstick and Mustard Seed. The dark red ones are made out of TH grungepaper, embossed and inked in with TH Barn Door and Fired Brick.
On the wood leaf vine (Creative Embellishments Flourish Set 10), I first used Dylusions Dirty Martini spray mist, then inked over that with TH Shabby Shutters, heat embossed with clear Zing embossing powder and then sprayed over that with Perfect Pearls in Pearl mist. The little flowers are from Hobby Lobby.
On the frames over each picture are Scrapiniec wood chippies. I sprayed those with Dylusions Postbox Red and then Perfect Pearls Heirloom Gold.
The wood birdhouses were from Unique Laser Designs when I was a Guest Designer. They are now closed.
The background paper is Recollections - Orange Glitter Bird
Thank you so much for stopping by my gallery! Enjoy your weekend!
