Hello everyone! I would like you to meet Landon, a great-nephew of mine from Texas whom I've not had the privilege of meeting in person. :-( I made this layout for his mom and dad; my niece and her husband.

For some reason, this layout was a challenge for me. I couldn't seem to choose my embellies in a timely manner so I just worked on it bit by bit over several days' time. All the papers I used except for the one I made the tag from are Hobby Lobby. I knew I wanted to use Gabi's flowing vines stencil and went with Bo Bunny's Glitter Paste in Wasabi and Blueberry. While that stuff is so pretty, it was a mess to get off my stencil. Goo Gone didn't work so my son and husband said to try "Denatured alcohol"! Something I had never heard of. My husband helped me with it, using a wide paint brush to apply it. I let it set for a bit and then gently scrubbed it off with a meshy scrubber he had. That actually worked but I don't know if I will use that stuff with a stencil again unless maybe applying some Vaseline first? The corner pieces were gold and I inked them up with alcohol inks to match the color scheme better.

My "off-the-wall" contribution to this layout is an actual feather from a red-shafted flicker!

For the wooden embellishment challenge, I used two fence pieces, the oval tag with "little man" on it and the pretty piece under "smile". The berry vines are chipboard and I don't know if that qualifies as wood or not. I used a wooden feather for the "twist" of the challenge and colored it up with the glitter paste matching the flowing vines.

For the "Use Your Stamps" challenge I stamped and heat embossed the tag I made as well as "handsome boy". The vineyard stencil I used a little round foam piece and inked it in with Tim Holtz Bundled Sage and heat embossed also.

Before I forget, I invested in the smaller die cut butterfly set from Tim Holtz and really like the size. I have the larger ones and didn't know they made the smaller ones until recently!

Thank you so much for stopping by my gallery!
