Well friends, I finally put two of my pistachio shells flowers to use! This layout came together so quickly and it wasn't even planned! Don't you just love it when that happens?! I was out in my Craft Palace day before yesterday afternoon just contemplating what my next project might be. I had this picture of Sam (taken in August, 2009 for his 2010 senior pictures) along with a few more of him and Dan that I had taken for their senior pictures. What caught my eye about this one, is that Sam was at the edge of a pond at Ohme Gardens and then I remembered I had my shell flowers that remind me of water lilies. I had also printed out several pictures of the lily pads that I had Googled. So I thought, they would be perfect to use with this picture! Since I recently organized my paper stash I ran across this one I had punched several years ago using my best friends Lucky 8 punch. It will either just punch the paper (as shown) or you can get a die cut piece. I found some dark green contrast to go underneath that matched the greenery in the picture and attached it to the back. With the scraps I die cut my vines, along with using DCWV metallic gold 6x6 paper and an olive color from scraps. I liked the gold so well I decided to die cut corners and tried 3 different dies before settling on this one. They are Spellbinders Victorian Corners.

The little tag was given to me by Brandy Lynn a long time ago and I felt it matched perfectly! Thank you Brandy! I stamp embossed the phrase on the tag as well as the phrase on the left of the picture.

I just recently purchased the beautiful Spellbinders die under Sam's picture and I love it! The sweet metal looking heart was from Rebecca (Nunya) and I love that as well. It isn't metal but they did a great job of making it look that way! Thank you Rebecca! The intricate diecut was from Brandy Johnson that came along with a pocket letter in a FB swap.

The aqua flowers are from HL and the beautiful butterflies are Reneabouquets. Remington buttons I got at the antique mall.

I added close-ups so you can see dimension a bit better.

In my gallery I shared a tutorial on how to make the pistachio shells flower at the end of March for those interested.

Thank you so much everyone for your wonderful support. I appreciate each and every one of you!
