The background on this card was actually an experiment that I've had set aside for a few weeks. I recently purchased this Crafter's Companion Ornate Lace Embossing Folder from the United Kingdom and the packaging that came with it showed an example of this being embossed on black paper (I used a burgundy color card stock) and it looked like they used gold on the raised edges. I don't know how they did it so I just guessed and ran my Cosmic Copper Dew Drops ink pad over it to start with. Then I sprayed it with Tim Holtz Mica Distress Spray. I finally decided to make a birthday card using the experiment! I found this scrap of paper and diecut it, stamped the phrase, inked the edges and used tiny buttons from my stash. The card base is also a scrap of Canvas Corp White & Kraft French Script. I do like how it turned out all-in-all.
