Creativity at its best! Absolutely fantastic use of the off-cuts, lovely and warm greens and the repeat leaf patters are also a lovely touch. Everything coordinates beautifully and makes for a totally unique design.
I know....you're probably laughing at the title about now, right?! So, the story behind this strange card is these three diecuts are the negative pieces of Spellbinders Blooming Floral Wreath. (I used the wreaths on another card I made but can't post yet.) Normally, I just throw the center pieces away, but this time I just set them aside thinking I would diecut leaves out of them. Well, I remembered I had a birthday coming up for a great-nephew and was trying to figure out what to make when I saw these three pieces and decided to just go ahead and use them for his card. I laid them out on this card base that I already had on my craft table but thought, no, that's too plain. Then I saw the leaf pattern around the edges and decided to ink some leaves for a border so I flipped one of those over and inked around my card using VersaMagic Hint of Pesto. I also used it around the edges of the diecuts. Then I got my Tim Holtz stickers books out and chose my little expressions, inked the edges of the light colored ones and applied them to the pieces.
