October AGC ##11 P is for Pumpkin

Framed photo is my oldest son Victor with his prize winning pumpkin that weighed 92 pounds. His picture was in our local paper in Livermore, CA in 1980 when he was in 2nd grade. Every year I display it for October and November. He actually won a $100 dollars and for his winnings he got to spend half and he chose to buy LEGOS and the other $50 went into his bank account. Then we have the hanging pumpkin plant which is actually an eggplant variation that even has thorns. The fruit turns from green to scarlet and won't get their pumpkin orange tones until they begin to dry out. I buy it every year at Trader Joe's.
