My family also has photos like this that really make me laugh.... looking back on them anyway. Like the tiny title with the little frame. LIke the rhinestone chandelier piece and the general way you've added the most embellishment in a mat around the photo itself to draw attention toward it.

You are right! The picture looks authentic and you did a great job scraping it. Wonder what future generations will think of it. They are really going to be confused.
