For some reason, I like polka dots. Have no idea why. But my Little Sis challenged me to do a card using polka dots. Well, I'm always up for a challenge. The card uses three layers of paper: solid navy, navy gingham (I also like gingham), and navy polka dots. It includes one of my favorite poems -- "Great, Wide, Beautiful, Wonderful World" by William Brightly Rand. I especially like the last two lines: "You are more than the Earth, though you are such a dot: You can love and think, and the Earth cannot." The polka dots fit in with the references to dots in the poem. The flower in the bottom corner has a light bulb in the center which symbolizes our ability to think; the heart with "Thinking of You" in the center symbolizes our ability to love. A little splash of a blue and white bow at the top completes the look.
