Barney at two, here is little devil at the moment, in his adolescence I keep being told but I love him to pieces.

Journalling is:

Barney on holiday September 2009

Our annual holiday to the Lakes, how we were all looking forward to it, at long last Barney would travel in the car without to much fuss so holidays were back on.

Staying in a different cottage than usual as Briery Lodge had been booked up for Sept we went straight to Silverthwaite Cottage & settled in, Jaimie arrived an hour later and he and I set out to buy our usual dinner of Fish and Chips.

We were lucky as we were staying right in the middle of the Langdales which had a beautiful walk we could take with ease each morning called the Cumbria Way, which pleased Barney no end and even little Henry wasn't to be left behind.

Jaimie was great he took Mum, Joy and I out nearly every day he was there, leaving Dad to rest up with his Hernia and look after the babies, he didn't seem to mind. He was pampered when we got home bringing lots of cakes and Mum, Joy and even Jaimie cooked gorgeous meals for us all, Dad loves his walks with Barney mainly when we holiday anyway, wanting to do little else so everyone was happy.

Jaimie took us all to the Queens Head over Kirkstone Pass, it was a lovely meal and at the end Mum insisted she paid, she had a lovely time & was happy, which made us happy because she had paid for the holiday, as she does most years, thank you Mum.

One special thing this cottage had was Blue Tits feeding every morning and afternoon in front of the living room patio door, they were beautiful and such a treat. I will miss them this year. I petted a baby Owl this year too.

This is for the Scrap your pet challenge.

Thank you for looking not to worry if you don't get through my ramblings. Hugs Sue x
