This is Martha Lucinda's first husband. These photos are tintype photos. They are framed in the old deeply embossed leather frames. I had to cut most of that pretty part off to get the photos I wanted because the reprint was not taken straight. It makes it appear that I cut the photos out with a die but I did not. I received these from cousin who is the GGGS of John Cook. The top photo was taken of him just after the Civil War. He was in the Union Army and enlisted when he was 18. You can see that he appears to have lost weight compared to the later photo. He died when Richard Samuel was only 3 years old
I printed (reduced) a document out of Fold3 on Tim Holtz glassine paper.
