8.5x11 for Rachel

Very simple again with just burlap behind the photo and a wood pocket watch Icon. That is from M's.

Generally one might not discover much about an ancestor born in 1815. But Johnathan was a interesting fellow. I found a 1881 probate record where he went to court to argue with a neighbor about building a grist mill on a creek which abutted both men's property. It's so interesting. The attorney was later a governor of Alabama. Five people were subpoenaed four men and one women to do a little "environmental study" to see the impact of the project. The reason was that he wanted to build 2 three feet high dams on this little creek to operate the mill. I thought this was such a interesting find I printed all 45 pages for my cousin. Keep in mind they were not engineers. They were all farmers. One of my GGGFs, George Gresham was among 80+ people signing a petition saying the community wanted the mill to help get it all passed.
