I finally had the chance to steal a couple of hours after entertaining all Christmas, to sit down and continue scrapping my wedding scrapbook.

For the wedding flowers, I wanted something delicate and feminine, and yet to have some sort of elegance to match the lace & pleats on my dress. I came across a similar hand bouquet during my research, and I just knew I wanted a mix of soft pink & cream peonies, open-cut and simply tied together with an ivory ribbon!

However, when I actually started talking with florists, I realized that the shade of pink I wanted is only available for a very short while (generally at the tail end of Spring), and had to be imported. Later in the season, peonies tend towards fushia and reds. As my wedding was in mid-June, most florists told me to look for something more readily available, but my mind was set. So I finally decided to work with the florist I felt was most capable, placed the order for light pink peonies (wherever they may be available) and left the rest up to God!

The peonies came, and everything seemed to have worked out... the only trouble was I wasn't actually supposed to see the hand bouquet until my hubby presented it to me on the actual day. But due to some last minute logistical changes, my hubby decided to just store the flowers at my home. When I saw the bouquet, I freaked! The flowers were entirely wrapped up in all kinds of pearls (some store assistant must have thought the more bling the better) and the bridezilla in me just went into hyperdrive. Thank God, a simple call to my florist had her offering to come over personally (in the middle of the night) to fix the bouquet! The final product was so beautiful i love it!!

Thank you for following me on my wedding story... it is incredibly encouraging for me to see friends stopping by with kind words! Trust you had a marvelous Christmas break, and a blessed New Year!! XOXO!
