This LO captures the 3D ultrasound image we got of our baby ...
Journaling: "Today was another big day — I had an ultrasound in the morning, then my 28-week checkup in the afternoon, including my glucose-tolerance test, a flu shot and a Rhogam shot because my blood type is negative and may not match the baby’s. (That’s a lot to do considering it’s also my 35th birthday!) The ultrasound showed everything looking good and I got this great picture of the baby’s face! The technician says the baby weighs 2 pounds, 7 ounces now, and according to the books it’s about 15 inches long. It’s really growing! And I can definitely feel it moving a lot more too.
Tim and I were out shopping yesterday and started playing with a Magic 8-Ball, asking it if the baby is a girl or a boy. First I asked if the baby is a girl and I got the response “No doubt.” Then I asked if the baby is a boy and got “Outlook not so good.” So Tim asked if the baby is a girl and got the response “Outlook good.” Then he asked if it’s boy and got the same response. So much for that! We did four more tries and on 7 out of 8 we got responses that the baby is a girl and is not a boy. I guess we’ll have to wait and see what happens in January.
Work on the house continues. The wood floors are in progress now, so we’re sleeping in the guest room surrounded by all of the furniture from our bedroom so that the floor guy can work on our room and the baby’s room. He’ll finish tomorrow. The floors need a couple of days to cure and then we’ll be able to move the furniture over into the other rooms so he can work on the guest room and the hallway next week. Painting is finished except for baseboards and staining the doors, which will all be done together in a couple of weeks, after the floors are finished. I know this is all worthwhile and we’ll be glad to have so much work finished before the baby arrives, but I’m really looking forward to the day when we can put the house back together and stop living in total disarray!"
