Journaling reads: "Our trip to Florida was your first chance to meet your cousin Conner. He was very interested in you and excited to meet you – especially because Aunt Maggie is expecting a new baby later this year. When he talked about you that week, he often called you "my baby sister ... I mean my baby cousin." When I would go to change your diaper, Conner would ask if he could help. He would come along with us, get your diaper and wipes out of the drawer and bring them to me, then climb on the bed to rub your head and talk to you while I changed you. He had so much fun practicing to be a big brother!
One day I was out on the deck giving you a bottle, and Conner was eating a snack.
Conner: "Can she have treats?"
Me: "No, honey, she can’t have treats."
Conner (slightly horrified): "Why not?"
Me: "Well, she doesn't have any teeth."
Conner: "Oh." (thinks for a moment) "She should go to the doctor and get some teeth."
I guess you can’t argue with three-year-old logic!
