Went looking through your gallery and saw this - you have captured the pride and sacrifice that deployment means to so many. My family has experienced it, as I suspect most families today have - TFS the beautiful layout - It's amazing!
Thank you for sharing a WONDERFUL page. It touched my heart because my son too recently deployed for the first time. You took the feelings straight from my heart. God Bless Your Son and God Bless YOU!!!!!!!!!
I'm a soldiers mother too. They are all hero's who expect nothing in return. We must remind everyone of their bravery and the reality they live through our own eyes. My thoughts are with you. Well said.

This is a beautiful page and I couldn't agree more with what you say.. My boyfriend is a staff sergent with Army Special Forces 7th Group; he's deployed right now to El Salvador then in June to Afghanistan.. I can't imagine how I am going to feel knowing the conditions he will be living in, risking his life every day for many people who would never consider doing anything of the sort for someone else. It takes a true hero to be a soldier, and it couldn't hit anyone harder than a mother. My prayers are with you and your son.
You are right, we should never take our freedom for granted, and because of young men like your son, we truely do live in the best country in the world...thank you to you and your family for your great sacrifices. Your lo is beautifuly done, and your decription brings a tear to my eye.
Awesome layout!!!! I was a mother in your shoes so this really touches my heart. Blessings to you and your son, I pray that he remains safe and return home soon along with all of our other young men and women.
Ask any soldier what the word freedom means to them what the price of freedom is. It means many things to them. What is the cost of freedom from the eyes of a mother? I will tell you. It means countless hours of worry. Time away from your family and not hearing from your boy for days, weeks sometimes months. It means many tears, tears of fear, tears of heartache, tears because of the void of not having him with you, tears or joy and excitement when you hear his voice on the line or the message he's sent or left for you. It means countless nights without sleep. It also fills you with joy knowing your son is doing something honorable, something to be proud of. To know your soldier is keeping you safe while you are enjoying life as we know it. In our comfortable homes with all the luxuries we've come accustomed to. Knowing that he is in a place where the weather is unpredictable, were he is not safe, were he will see things no 20 year old should ever have to witness. Freedom to me is a luxury we all take for granted. Freedom means that at any moment he may be taken away from us. It means he may watch one of his be called home. It means he may come home a different person. Freedom isn't free.
