Made for Marci's January swap. The theme - new technique. I had not done an iris fold before and I saw some cards made so I went and googled it and watched a few videos and here is my first attempt. I was pleased but I can do better I am sure. By the third one I was getting the idea so watch this space as I am sure I will try them again! I'm a bit slow on the uptake and it took to the third one to realise it was a fan sort of effect and they needed the same starting point! Baaahaaahaaa! Not so clever when it comes to trialling new ideas!
It was tricky folding the strips of paper that you then alternatively layer. I had printed out a guide but that was for a much larger heart and then I had to undo it a couple of times to get the correct number of strips for this size heart. I like the effect and I probably should have had a larger iris but practice makes perfect they say!
