This is a photo I took in January when I was out on my morning walk even when I was on holidays at my best friend's house. It was taken on the 18.1.18 - I like the symmetry of the date.
I created this layout for the Anything Goes Challenge - Weekly Challenge. We had to share a place that centres us - creates harmony or balance. No people could be in it. We had to reflect upon life statements and goals and attitudes. I love the tranquillity of a calm day at the water's edge. Even though I live a long way from the water, it always has a restorative effect. This jetty at Valentine NSW is one of the best places to recharge and reenergise. My journaling reads -
Peace and Harmony
Although I live so far away from
the ocean and the calming sounds
of the tide lapping the shore, it is here
that I find my equilibrium. The sounds of
nature at her best let me refocus on the
important things. Family, friends, relaxation
and a good cup of coffee! My philosophy
in my job is “Waves on the Beach” – no
matter the child or the situation,
consistency and predictability are the
key to my approach. This is what I
expect and explains my love
of the shoreline.

We were also only allowed to use our counterfeit kits for this project.

I stacked this one with the Spotlight Gallery - where I used Cathy Lane's Kissed by the Wind layout -

- for inspiration, scraplift your favourites, the Artistic Ingredient challenge, the Music Challenge - I used the lyrics from Miley Cyrus'- Malibu - I'd spend the rest of my life Just Standing Here (Hence the Title) and the Music Inspiration challenge, Die cutters challenge, Journaling Challenge and the Foodie Challenge.
