this past week has caused hardship throughout the whole country all the way to Florida, Gulf coast, thru Texas and straight back up to the Canadian border.
This is the latest storm that passed thru the North Country, in Coos County where I live. We are tucked within the Mt. Washington valley. My house sits in between two mountains. MT. Forest, in my back yard and across the way is MT. Jasper. This makes a corridor to allow the horrific winds funnel between them and makes it so much colder as the MTs. can hold onto the cold longer than other areas, and also drop much more snow.
This is a better photo of the storm that just passed by and leaving another 14 inches of fresh snow along with dangerously frostbite weather. Ski areas stopped the lifts, snow mobile trails are closed, and Berlin for the first time in 3 years closed school. Most of the students walk to schools, only the ones that live in a longer distance can ride the bus, other students can but their is a high cost for the year, and multi student families cost much less.

We are expecting more snow starting Monday. Yeah!! I think. Have a great day
