I love your style Dorthy-Ann! After reading your comment on one of my pages, I hopped over to see yours! There is absolutely nothing to step up - whoever inherits these pages (your albums) will be blessed with real treasures!
Beautiful lo. Love the flower cluster. I have a lot of old photos, and have started scrapping them. We need to preserve our history for our grandkids and future generations to come.
This is so wonderful! And also reminds me I need to get back to recording some memories I have and scrapping some memories for my grandchildren. Lovely LO; the bling at the top is beautiful.
This is wonderful. I hope you wrote up all the above journaling and included it on the back or somewhere. It will be so special in years to come. Lovely job, my friend!
Such a beautiful page! I love old photos. Our memories can be so special. Its nice that you have such great photos to help keep those memories alive :o)Ro
This is why I scrap -the history that will be passed on to future generations. These old photos are priceless treasures that evoke strong memories. Love the punched framing and the use of the red roses for a pop of colour. What a beautiful tribute my friend for such a special moment in time. Beautiful.
I love that picture! What a wonderful thing to have! Love how you scrapped it, too. The details of the scrapping perfectly showcase the wonderful photo!
I have some photos of my past family members. I am truly amazed at how much I remember so many times I spent with the people in this photo.
My maternal Great-Grandparents
This is a photo of the day my great-aunt Ruth on her wedding day standing with her parents at their house as they prepared for the day.
Great Grandfather William J. Baldwin, a stone mason with beautiful designs made by his own ideas and workman ship. Being born in the late 1800's when I met him I was quite young. He loved baseball listening to the game on Sundays with my father.
My Great-Grandmother, Bessie Barthoulemew Baldwin was a great cook in a restaurant . I do remember this huge Thanksgiving Dinner at her house one year, especially the gravy, giblet??? no way us kids would have no part of that. Also Born in the late 1880's she lived a wonderful life raising 9 children.
My great grandfather passed away when I was 17 in 1969. My great grandmother passed away in 1973, I was pregnant with my first child.
I typed up a nice page of all the memories I had and some experiences so future generations would have this to enjoy.
