Very cute! The nice thing about using the cover sheet is that the patterns are usually printed smaller than the actual pattern on the pp sheets too, so it adds even more variety. Lovely design here!
This LO happened organically. I've been wanting to scrap these two pics for a long time, but didn't know what to do with them!
I started out with a PageMaps sketch, and actually mapped out my LO while waiting to receive my Sweet Day collection in the mail! What looked good in my head didn't work in real life, so I skewed a few things. I also kept screwing up the embellishments -- so much of the LO came from placing embellies to cover up my mistakes. :)
I traced around a die cut piece of paper and cut out the bird paper. I think the thing I had the hardest time with was placing the title and journaling. I kept moving stuff around, and nothing looked right. I don't know how I came to this final positioning, but...it works.
The strip of PP on top of the orange mat is cut from the insert in the collection kit -- that's my new favorite way to get a lot of pattern in a LO without breaking into a whole piece of paper. To finish things off, I drew in blue stitches and placed brads.
