Give a Cheer
This is for the August 2012 MSC Bonus Sketch #3.
I had lots of fun with this one! Background PP, flourish, border under the ribbon and blue photo corners were all cut with my Silhouette. The bottom strip under the tags is from the cover page of the EP “Seasons Collection”. I loved using that to get the look of a ton of PP on a page without cutting into whole sheets of paper. The page just looked a little empty at the top and bottom, so I just did some stamping and random strips/washi and a little stitching for texture only.
I'm also trying to get in the habit of mixing up my papers and brands. I tend to go all “Gymboree” in my scrapping and use everything from one line, when so many things work well together. I loved how well the AC tags worked, and they're actually for Valentines Day.
Journaling: Thanksgiving 2010 – we were in Lake Geneva with (my SIL, BIL) and the kids, looking for something to do in the evening. The only thing open was Walgreens, so we got the kids gingerbread house kids and let them go to town (while all the grownups had more wine, lol!)!
All in all, it's one of my few pages that I don't look at and say, “I wish I'd done…” I really love the way it turned out.
