Cool use of the doodling template. It makes the background more interesting. And I love your "off sketch road trip." I think when you make a sketch fit what YOU need rather than fitting yourself to the sketch, more magical projects happen. Good for you for going with your own ispiration.
MSC Sketch-a-thon Day 9. Only 4 days behind!! This was my daughter's first visit to the pumpkin patch with her cousins. I didn't have enough room to title "Little Punkins" so I changed it to "Little Punks". :)
I totally went off-sketch with this one. First, I used two 4x6 photos, rather than four 4x3s. Then, I decided to mist the CS; I really wanted to make the most of that, so I made the big block of PP up top a tree instead. I also moved the buttons onto the tree. There wasn't much room for journaling, and I didn't think the page really needed much, so I just put the date on the tree trunk and added the location (which you can't really see).
The tree, pumpkin, scallop border, and notebook border paper were all cut with my Silhouette. There is stitching on the woodgrain paper, but you can't really see it.
This is using some gorgeous papers that I bought from the SEI booth at Scrapbook Expo. Most of the PP in that pack is too pretty to use -- I would rather paper my house with it than "waste" it on a page. But I liked these subtle colors and patterns.
Oh and sorry about the weird coloring on the "e" in "little". I took this photo outside and didn't catch that there was a glare.
