This is an amazing photo! In CA we meet people that live or lived in MN and we wussy Californians whine when it is in the 40's! We lived in Idaho for 2 years and experienced 20 below, but it was okay because we knew it was temporary and we would get to go home to NoCal. The pink is a perfect contrast to the frosty photo!
Thanks for all the love, in case it matters, I did use bright red blue and tan. For some some reason the photo does look more pink to me....had a hard time with the lighting on this one.
The one good thing about winter: gorgeous scenes like these - and you've scrapped them perfectly; love the banner and snowflakes and the pops of pink that match the reflection of the winter sun so well!
Brrrr. It just LOOKS cold! I put this in the Trifeta group, since you used all three colors and only added some neutrals. If it's PINK instead of RED, then we can reassess it, but I think you're covered here. :-) Awesome use of your tools and techniques - stamping (which I never think to do) and fussy cutting, and die cutting, and border punching ... you have a little of everything here, which makes an interesting layout!
In the winter, sometimes the trees by the lake get iced over...pictured here are some trees by Lake Michigan that have lots of icicles.
For stamping on your layout (black snowflakes are stamped) and Colorchrome (inspirational chrome) used the 3 colors +brown, gold and white Monthly Sketch challenge: Sketch #2
Pictures were taken along Lake Michigan of icicles hanging off trees next to the lake.
Background paper is from my stash, as are the red and blue papers. Used a K and Co. border (brown scallop) and fussy cut some snowflakes from a Photo Play paper
Hoarders--papers are hoarded, red dots are hoarded (from my stash, got them years ago.)
