Unfortunately, I'm limited regarding the drop shadows, the one I used is the most subtle (the other options were quite intense)but thanks for the suggestion and for taking the time to look and critique.
this is gorgeous! One thing I'd like to suggest.. Do you have photoshop? I dunno how to do it in other programs. but anyway, if you do, you can use the gingham ribbon and make it a pattern, then put a pattern overlay on the title Georgia so as to make it the same shade of green as the others. I really love this!!!
Yippee, Thanx to Megan, I was able to edit the picture and bring it back to the same place! Since I couldn't move the picture over to center it, I made the mat a tad larger. Gary suggested making changes to the flowers, so I made them smaller and removed the 2 bottom ones. CoolCath, this was the best I could do with the title (I'm not too familiar with the editing features for fonts) but did manage to tone it down with a lighter color green, changed the outline and shadow of the lettering. Thank you for your compliments as well as suggestions.
OOOH I am very impressed.. I love the green and the embellies look so real.. the vintage pic works well here..in my humble opinion I agree with the above recommendations and I wonder if you could make the title more like the ribbon? by softening it a bit?
Victoria, for some reason, no matter how many times I tried, I couldn't adjust the picture where I wanted it, I even tried resizing the mat til I finally gave up. Maybe on this one when it's printed, I'll take it apart and scrap on paper. Shouldn't be too hard since I used E-Cuts.
Now that I'm looking at it, Gary is right, the flowers look a little large, that should be easy to resize. Now I have another question to post in the forum. TFL & your help
What a fun picture to work with! I love the green gingham and the textures in here. I wish I could make ribbons like that digitally. The only thing I might suggest would be to make the flowers smaller or remove one or two. They are overshadowing the picture. Such a nice dd you are to do such a wonderful thing for mom!!
Oh how I LOVE green! (It is my favorite color) This is really nice! Is there a way you could scoot the pic over more to the left, so that it is centered between the corners on the pic? I love the textured background, and great dimension!
Recently came across this picture of my Mom as a little girl. Since her BD is coming up, I'd like to get an album together for her of pictures she hasn't seen for a very long time or didn't even know they still exited.
