So sweet - I'm glad he's better! You can tell how sick he feels in the photo. I love how you laid the LO out and the cream and b&w really does set the mood. Love the little bit of pink too! Excellent LO!

Oh thank God Diode is okay now. Parvo is a NASTY battle for any dog to face. I'm sure doing this LO helped you to heal too! Congrats on your healthy pooch!

This is amazing!!! Love teh way you did the title with the paw prints! The pic is so sweet and sad! Love the touch of pink in the flowers. But mostly, I love that he's going to be okay :)

Another HOF layout... Size 12x24.

When my puppy, Diode, was about 6 months old, he contracted Parvo. While he was sick I wrote in a notebook about his illness and our role in helping him get better. The photograph was taken by me shortly before we took him to the animal hospital. As he was getting better, I decided to do a layout about his battle, hence the name, “Battling Parvo.” I chose the crème color to set the somber, lethargic mood of my puppy. The pink coloring inside the flowers was added later to signify his impending recovery.
