My dear father was stationed in New Orleans with the USS Haas Naval Ship in 1951. This wonderful photo of my parents at such young ages - Mom 21 and pregnant for her 1st child and Dad 25, was taken aboard the USS Haas the day after Thanksgiving on 11-23-1951. I found 1951 calendars on the internet and printed the months of September thru December 1951 on clear vellum. A picture of the USS Haas in under the vellum. My father wrote important dates on the back of this picture, which I depicted with bling on the calendars; as well as the date of Nov 23rd when their photo was taken. The main layout page is by Glitz Design "Happy Travels" collection. Bo Bunny's Weekend Market collection was not only the perfect color by also has naval stamps as its design! I was lucky to find some nautical jewelry (anchor and compass) to add as embellishments. My mother sewed and from her I had the perfect color rope like trim to use on this layout. Thank you so much for viewing! Have a great day! Lisa
