Oh what a gorgeous Heritage page & the embells you used fit the beautiful foto to a tee!! That foto must be very old. I just LOVE it. I'm having fun in your gallery- LOL!!!!!!!
this is an amazing heritage LO...I love all the brass details and the yarn flowers are perfect. Honestly, I think its cool the picture is in two halves...it refelcts how much the world has changed and how much harder things were
Lovely! Beautiful shabby chic details and great vintage photo too! Love the background stamping! I've been trying to do more subtle stamping along the edges too (I'm so inspired by how it looks when Heather Jacob does it but mine never turns out half as nice as hers, lol).
Hi everyone! Today I'm sharing a layout of my Great-Great maternal Grandparents, Chit & Josephine Hebert, (‘He' is pronounced like the letter ‘A'; and ‘bert' like bear). I don't know the date that the photo was taken, but as you can see, apparently the original had cracked down the middle and was taped together. This, along with the many blemishes, really maintains the vintage age of the photo. I left the photo in its original color and distressed the edges with a wire brush. I sure wish I had the original, but either way, it is way cool!
After pondering for quite a long time trying to decide how to scrap this photo, I saw Heather Jacob's beautiful vintage layout “LOVE YOU”, which can be found here on scrapbook.com and on her awe inspiring blog, Art & Life (http://heatherartandlife.blogspot.com/). Her influence really helped me create this layout and I was also able to use some of her techniques! Check out her blog to discover beautiful creative art! Thank you so much Heather for your continued inspiration!
My blog gives details, close ups and processes used. Hope you have time to stop in for a visit. Have a wonderful day! Lisa : ) http://iluvcatsandscraps.blogspot.com/
