I was afforded the opportunity of seeing beautiful Texas wildflowers blooming in April 2012. All photos were taken by me.
It really is breathtaking to see these gorgeous beauties covering huge fields and the sides of interstates with color. Near central Texas, in hill country, as it’s known, the sight itself doesn’t complete the whole picture. Birds and insects and rustling sounds among the flowers (probably field mice) were all you could hear. No sounds of cars or honking or people talking or airplanes flying overhead – just pleasing peaceful silence.
