Give a Cheer
After learning that our dearest friend, Donna Anderson, passed away Feb 18, 2020 from recurring cancer, I spent my day creating a simple but elegant and meaningful card for her devoted & loving wife, Kerry Gaines and her children, Michelle Anderson & Ellen Marie Martinez.
Blue Fern Studios "Bird Waltz" collection is very elegant and what made me choose this collection was the Ephemera butterfly. It fit perfectly inside the circle of the Blue Fern "Ornate Frame", which I heat embossed in Blue Fern color "Pink Dust".
The butterfly, for me, represents our dearest Donna, who is now REBORN. She is cancer free; in no pain; feeling happiness that we've never experienced; and best of all, I have no doubt that she is crafting with beautiful colors that we cannot even imagine in our little bitty minds.
She was encouraging, thoughtful, generous and just plain sweet! I will miss her terribly. This has truly affected me more than I thought it would, but I guess that's because it's Donna and how she was with everyone.
She joined SB.com a year after I did. We would consult each other in the beginning. ha. I watched Donna's creativity evolve into the beautiful artistic style that she had - vintage/romantic. I am more than blessed & very humbled to have some of her very last creations. I will cherish them forever.
