JOURNAL: Carsten definitely wasn't scaring away any crows; he was just way too cute. Lori helped add patches & rafia to overalls I found at a garage sale & it made for one cute costume. My mom found a straw cowboy hat that when worn sideways looked just like a scarecrow! He wanted to wear the hat all of th time before the patches were on it. Once the patches were put on he needed a little coaxing to wear it with his costume. Carsten wore his costume to Haunted Hoops scrimmage for Drake and won a costume contest for children under 3. I'm sure it helped that his aunt was the coach.
Carsten loved Halloween and all of the goodies he received. our first stop was his babysitter's house & then to Lori's where he couldn't get enough M&M's. Finally, Andy ended the night by taking Carsten to a few houses in our neighborhood. It was a special Halloween as it was Carsten's first Trick-or-Treating event!
