This is shadow box I did for my dd's horse. It was a very sad day when he passed. My dd came up with the Heaven On Our Thoughts, and I wrote the poem. The box contains a portion of his tail, his name plate and a charm saying Happy Trails
Heaven on our thoughts, surely thats where you must be, Eating lush green pastures, or resting by a tree. Barrel racing in the sky, cantering over jumps, Being bullied by nasty mares, and taking your many lumps. Perhaps you weren't the fastest, You lacked the need for speed, But I was very lucky, You were a trusty steed. There's a special place in heaven, for horses just like you, Those that gave their owners, the love you always knew. You were a special friend, for that I can't deny, I know this time would come someday, but it's hard to say "goodbye".
