Here is my lo for Scrapvivor Challenge #5
I loved this challenge. Sometimes I love to just play with supplies without worrying about matching photos or overwhelming them! I had this ribbon (orange with teal bubbles) and some cute doggy pp that I had been wanting to play with. I chose my theme just to get to use doggy stuff. LOL! I struggled some with the journaling. I love what I wrote, but the wording of the prompt is so not me. I just would never use the word confession. It sounds like some monstrous deep dark secret to me. LOL! I obvously did not journal anything that secretive. Anyway, I just pulled out anything I owned that could possibly match those pp and had fun playing around. I got to use a bunch of scraps, some old embellies and ribbon that I have had sitting around for over 3 years, and some new goodies that I wanted to play with.

The requirements for this lo were:

1.Create a 1-page LO
2. ABSOLUTELY NO PHOTOS ALLOWED
3. Must be a visible title ( I used “Puppy of Mine”)
4. Journaling may be computer generated or handwritten (Mine is both)
5. Must use a metal embellishment (no eyelets or brads), paint and ribbon
Metal Embellie-Dog paper clip
Paint – Teal on title. I painted over HS masks. I also added some paint to edges on the lo.
Ribbon- lots
No brads or eyelets- I used stitching to add a little to my charm and a flower with a button in the middle in the two spots that I REALLY wanted a brad.
6. Your writing prompt for this challenge: I have a confession to make. I never really... (this may be serious or goofy, but it should be TRUE). *Writing prompt must be used in the LO.

My journaling: I have a confession to make. I never really thought that I would get to bring you home. I had longed for a puppy of my own for so long. I wanted so desperately to have a little ball of fur to cuddle with, a little buddy to greet me when I came home, a friend to take hiking and swimming, and even a guardian to make me feel safe when I was alone. For so many reasons it did not seem like the right timing. I had several months left on my lease for an apartment that did not allow pets. I was going to be starting a job that required a lot of time away. I also really did not have the money for my little goober. However, I knew that you were meant for me the moment that I saw you.I was even more certain after holding you. Every chance that I could I would stop to see you. I told myself that if the price ever came down and that little guy was still there he would be mine. Low and behold two months after we met, you were still there. On a snowy day in March, I stopped to check and see if that adorable little guy was still available. Yep…there you were ready to go home and be loved and growing HUGE! We had plenty of issues to work out, but with you to cuddle with it is all worth it. I brought my darling Rio home the very next day.
