Hmmm - that is a good question. I guess it doesn't hurt us to eat some dirt - and the preservative nature of salt keeps it from being contaminated with anything too bad for us??? I don't know!

This is a salt barge unloading on the Mississippi. A dirty old barge full of dirty salt from a mine being loaded by a dirty machine into a dirty building. I wonder.....how do you clean salt?
